Activated Sludge Process: System Optimization

The F:M Ratio: Full Calculation
The Food-to-Microorganism (F:M) ratio compares the organic load entering the aeration basin (the "food," measured as BOD) to the biomass available to consume it (the "microorganisms," measured as MLVSS):
