Code 335-10-1-.02(b), an advanced groundwater treatment plant is one employing "any treatment of greater technical sophistication than aeration, disinfection, corrosion control, pressure filtration and fluoridation" applied to well/spring water — i.e., anything beyond what a basic Grade II plant does. In practice this usually means the groundwater has a water-quality problem that basic treatment cannot fully solve.
