Collection System Math: Process Control Basics

A Class 1 operator solves problems in two steps. From Two Steps to Three
At Class 1 you chained a geometry step to a conversion or rate step. At Class 2, most real problems need a third link: compute the pipe's hydraulic geometry, apply Manning's Equation to get velocity, then use that velocity to get flow — or compute a volume, convert units, then divide by a rate. The formulas themselves aren't new; what's new is holding three steps in your head (or on scratch paper) without losing track of units.
